Description of the goods or services required
This contract relates specifically to physical improvements to the café and front of house areas of the venue. Our objective is to improve customer experience in the front of house, café and bar areas and respond positively to some of the challenges raised by covid-19.
The work comprises a range of building refurbishment, mechanical and electrical modifications to the structure of the Grand Pavilion, Porthcawl. Ideally, this commission will suit a property maintenance contractor that can co-ordinate and manage multi-trade building works, including electrical and plumbing (heating). A full specification of works is included in Schedule 3. In summary the work includes:
• Renewal of floor finishes through café, foyer and box office areas
• Reconfiguration / replacement of existing bar counter, to include new counter top, façade and lowered section. Replacement of rear counter, including new shelves, tiling, sinks, plumbing, etc
• Redecoration of walls, ceilings, timber doors and windows (internal and external)
• Construction of stud partition wall to form enclosed kitchen area
• Demolition of existing stud partition, and box office counter to increase public circulation space. Associated ceiling works, making good, relocation of radiators etc.
• Construction of new customer service counter, to match design of bar counter
• Associated electrical works
