Abstract

The second phase of procurement for the ATIC UX Laboratory is focussed on the delivery of a permanent but adaptable multi room system that will be able to capture user data and experience in the three laboratory environments outlined above. The second phase of procurement also includes integration of these systems with the suite of ‘mobile’ systems procured in phase one, which will provide a fully integrated facility for observational studies, psychophysiological measurement, motion analysis, real and virtual eye tracking, 3D scanning and user data capture. This will be supported by an advanced prototyping facility. The key objective of this procurement process is to secure high-quality equipment that is fit for purpose and offers UWTSD value for money. The services must fully integrate the three individual spaces to enable a high degree of flexibility in the ATiC facility. This integrated package will require the following: • One complete and compact mobile 3D scanning unit for 3D data capture of small object in fine detail such as, PCB’s, small Castings Plastic parts, Human ears, Facial features, etc… • Handheld with the option to tripod mount the scanners. • Capture full colour data • Short range scanner from 0.2 meter to 0.3 meter scanning range • full colour scanning in realtime • up to .005mm accuracy • System to including software and hardware bundle required to run the system • 3D scanning training package for all hardware and software • Appropriately specified laptop/tablet for operation with 3D scanners • Appropriate and robust portable storage cases. • Warranty and maintenance package to last the duration of the project.
