Abstract
Natural Resources Wales would like to contract the services of a supplier for developing and promoting a network of long-distance cycle routes in Snowdonia National Park with the aim of encouraging green tourism and active travel. This will not include any additional built infrastructure or, on site waymarking. Users will be directed by GPS or similar navigation applications. The programme will include:
• Researching suitable permitted rights of way that would have positive social and environmental impact through careful and collaborative planning.
• Coordination with relevant land management authorities and land occupiers to ensure that there is no legal or land use conflict.
• Produce an accessible suite of printed and one-line products that will effectively promote the routes and guide users.
• These products will also promote the natural and cultural heritage of the area as well as the key principles of responsible access.
Applicants will provide examples where they have produced similar products including credible estimates of use.
The provider will have a far reaching online platform for promoting similar products.
