The intention of this new framework is to procure fully independent auditing of the commercial activities associated with current and future projects and contracts.
This will be delivered via discrete package orders which will be for thorough and focused audit activities which could be targeted at any of Highways England’s projects, programmes or third party procurement agreements.
The scope of the audits will be to focus on the contractual compliance, activities and performance of Highways England’s third party providers as well as the interaction with and of the activities of internal Highways England team who are part of project/programme delivery.
This is to ensure the validity, integrity, reliability and independence of the audit findings.
