Provision of Environmental Works at Kemys Fawr Close, Sebastopol

Description of the goods or services required

The project consists of the refurbishment of 5 blocks of external storage sheds, 3 external communal bin storage sheds and replacement of fencing.

Following external improvement works at Kemys Fawr Close, this project aims to improve the external storage areas and to replace the old timber fencing with new metal galvanized hoop top railings.

Part of this project involves licensed asbestos removal works relating to the removal of asbestos insulating board soffits.

A period of 8 weeks has been allocated to complete this project.

The tender will be awarded to the Most Economically Advantageous Tender.

The contract will be undertaken using the JCT Minor Work Building Contract 2016 including Bron Afon’s standard prelims and amendments.

Under the terms of this contract the successful supplier(s) will be required to deliver Community Benefits in support of the authority’s economic and social objectives. Accordingly, contract performance conditions may relate in particular to social and environmental considerations. The Community Benefits included in this contract are:

Bron Afon is committed to contributing to the social, economic and environmental well-being of the wider community. Consequently Community Benefits clauses will be a mandatory contract clause. Therefore, as a minimum requirement, Tenderers will have to agree that community benefits will become part of the contract and as such, a minimum 1% cash donation will be required

The buyer considers that this contract is suitable for consortia bidding.
