NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership on behalf of NHS Health Organisations across Wales intend to become members of GS1 for a period of 5 years. This is to facilitate improved data capture standards and traceability.
The adoption of GS1 standards will allow NHS Wales to comply with medicines and medical device unique identification requirements in line with wider adoption across the UK.
