Total quantity or scope of tender

The maximum budget of £45,000 (exclusive of VAT) is available and this is to include all design work, removals and disposals, safety surfacing, new equipment and installation.

Product specification

For the purpose of submitting the proposal a detailed coloured layout and dimensions of each proposed item is required.

Playground

All existing equipment and wet pour surfacing will be removed from site by the client prior to scheduled start date.

Supply and install new equipment.

• Infant Multiplay to suit ages between 3 to 7 with high low play panels.

• Junior Multiplay unit suitable for age up to 12

• Double bay swing with 2 flat seat swings, 1 cradle and 1 you and me swing seat.

• Flush carousel

• 4 seat springed see saw

• Trampoline

The whole area within the existing fence line is to be wet pour the depth of which to be determined by the manufactures installation guidelines. Some colour within the design is desirable if the budget allows otherwise a coloured fleck will be acceptable.

Non play items

• 1 Picnic bench suitable for use by wheel chair users to be placed on grass area outside the site.

• 1 Covered steel bin.

All equipment to be constructed predominately of steel and must comply with EN 1176.

All warranties for equipment to be supplied as part of the submission

• Double width slide – wide enough for 2 e.g. Parent/carer and child. - Variety of access to accommodate different needs and abilities.

• Swings to include at least 1 basket type swing as well as a choice of others.

• Low level and high-level sensory experiences – be imaginative e.g. tactile, audio, visual etc.

• Rocking/spinning/bouncing experiences to suit varied sizes and abilities

• Climbing experiences to include low and multi-level experiences not just height driven.

• Gates wide enough and manageable for wheelchairs and buggies.

• Seating for all to be near play equipment, some with table.

Hello,
We attach an addendum to the tender document titled Works Band B RFQ Penlan North Playground, we now have another version called "Amended RFQ Penlan North Playground 03-12-21.
The scope of works has now changed, please see the amendments within Part 2 - Specification of RFQ document. The decision has been made to extend the installation date to May 2022. Contract will run from January - May 2022 now.
