Abstract
Award of the Development and delivery of a meanwhile spaces project in Swansea City Centre and district centres to engage with landlords and utilise vacant commercial premises for temporary ‘pop up’ uses.
The project aim of the project is to add vibrancy and increase footfall by utilising vacant commercial premises in Swansea City Centre, Morriston, Pontarddulais, Gorseinon, Mumbles and Sketty as temporary meanwhile spaces. This will provide opportunities for independent new businesses, local food and craft producers, and social enterprises to test trade before committing to permanent premises. It will also facilitate pop up arts and cultural activities to create stimulating and create spaces that embrace innovation and help redefine our high streets.
