Abstract

The existing Gwydyr Park Public Convenience is located at the south end of Gwydyr Park. The building is ready for refurbishment but taking into account the frequency with which it suffers flood, a different approach has been considered. The proposal is to demolish the existing toilet block and then construct a new Public Convenience facility with an FFL of 2.21m consisting of two unisex WC’s and one accessible WC accessed via steps and a lift. As the facility is not only within the park but adjacent a large car park, surrounded by forestry, walks and bicycle trails, the proposal includes a bicycle maintenance bay and bicycle parking.
