Abstract

1.1 Transport for Wales (TfW) exists to drive forward the Welsh Government’s vision of a high quality, safe, integrated, affordable and accessible transport network that the people of Wales are proud of. Transport for Wales is key to delivering the Welsh Government’s key themes as set out in Prosperity for All: The National Strategy. 1.2 To support a major element of this vision, TfW is investing in a transformational programme of station projects across the Wales and Borders network. 1.3 The remit of this project has been set out by the station project team as part of the Station Facilities Upgrade Programme. This programme includes forty seven high priority stations which have been identified across Wales and Borders by Station Managers. All stations have been captured into several batches for delivery and have been split between regionally, North and South. 1.4 The project will focus on bringing each station up to standard in respect to branding, signage, facilities, SISS telecoms and spaces, therefore providing improved customer and staff experience, enhancing stations facilities, and ensuring that TfW identification through branding is applied. 1.5 This Project is batch one, which includes the first three stations of the forty-seven high priority stations. These include Chester, Flint and Runcorn East. All three stations are located within close proximity of each other.
