Abstract

Summary of service: Conversion of up to 15 two-hour learning modules into digital content (Lot 1) and the creation of a virtual world with up to six anti-racist curriculum scenes (Lot 2) Lot 1: Digitisation of Tutorial Materials Our team of subject experts and teaching professionals have designed and developed a range of tutorial materials and teaching aids (lesson plans; user guides etc.) which aim to explore thematic areas from the perspective of underrepresented cultures and those who have experienced racism. This content is aimed at full-time Further Education (FE) learners (16+) studying Humanities, STEM, Vocational and Arts courses across Wales. These materials will be bilingual and differentiated for use at varying levels (predominantly QCF Level 2 and Level 3) as well as for English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) and Independent Living Skills (ILS) learners. Lot 2: Online Virtual World In addition to being accessible on Hwb for use in a physical classroom, we envisage that the tutorial materials will also be accessible via an online “virtual world”. Our Requirement We are seeking a supplier to also transform the vision of the subject specialist teams and content creators into an accessible and immersive 3D learning environment. Learners will meaningfully engage with the tutorial materials via avatars, and discover the topic through their subject area and differentiated level while safely interacting with other learners in the virtual environment. The world will be accessed by a log-in portal and will consist of up to six scenes, each with a unique design to reflect the specific anti-racist content that has been produced.

Lot 1: Digitisation of Tutorial Materials

Our team of subject experts and teaching professionals have designed and developed a range of tutorial materials and teaching aids (lesson plans; user guides etc.) which aim to explore thematic areas from the perspective of underrepresented cultures and those who have experienced racism.

Lot 2: Online Virtual World

In addition to being accessible on Hwb for use in a physical classroom, we envisage that the tutorial materials will also be accessible via an online “virtual world”.

We are seeking a supplier to also transform the vision of the subject specialist teams and content creators into an accessible and immersive 3D learning environment.
