VII.2) Information about modifications

VII.2.1) Description of the modifications

An extension of the current arrangement for up to 12 months is required to ensure that an Occupational Health service to NHS staff in Wales is maintained. A new solution has been procured in accordance with the Public Contract Regulations 2015 and requires the migration, implementation and testing of existing data prior to the system going live.

The modification is in accordance with the Public Contract Regulations 2015 Regulation 72(1) (b) and (c).

VII.2.2) Reasons for modification

Need for additional works, services or supplies by the original contractor/concessionaire

Description of the economic or technical reasons and the inconvenience or duplication of cost preventing a change of contractor:

A new solution has been procured in accordance with the Public Contract Regulations 2015. The required migration, implementation and testing of existing data in the new system cannot take place until January 2023 at the earliest. The existing service needs to be maintained to ensure that an Occupational Health service to NHS staff in Wales is provided without interruption before the new system goes live.
