The Borough Council of Calderdale (the Council) invites Tenders from Tenderers who wish to be considered for the provision of Servicing Community Equipment. The Servicing Community Equipment contract will provide electrical engineers to service all electrical equipment that is held by Calderdale’s Integrated Community Equipment Loan Store. The equipment is loaned to service users to facilitate discharge from hospital and to support people to remain at home and independent. Equipment provided by the loan store ranges from basic walking aids to specialist beds, mattresses, lifting equipment and seating. A significant volume of equipment on loan in the community requires 6-monthly/annual servicing by an electrical engineer. The store currently has over 2,000 pieces of equipment which requires servicing, maintenance, and repair whilst either on loan or in the store.

II.2.4) Description of the procurement
The Borough Council of Calderdale (the Council) invites Tenders from Tenderers who wish to be considered for the provision of Servicing Community Equipment. It is anticipated the new contract will commence from 1st July 2023 for a period of 5 years up to and including 30th June 2028 with an option to extend for a further period or periods up to 24 months, in two 12-month increments. The option to extend will be at the discretion of the Council. The Servicing Community Equipment contract will provide electrical engineers to service all electrical equipment that is held by Calderdale’s Integrated Community Equipment Loan Store. The equipment is loaned to service users to facilitate discharge from hospital and to support people to remain at home and independent. Equipment provided by the loan store ranges from basic walking aids to specialist beds, mattresses, lifting equipment and seating.
