Abstract

Water Refill

This project will deliver more drinking water refill points at a greater number of train station locations, therefore providing rail customers with greater access to free drinking water throughout TFWRL’s network.

TFWRL has identified thirteen stations in total to receive new water refill facilities.

The Contractor will be responsible for the design and enabling works for twelve stations, along with the installation of six of the water refill points.

Enabling works at Porth have already been carried out.

Total quantity or scope of tender

The Contractor will be required to provide new water, drainage and electrical connections required to facilitate the installation of the water refill units, including all testing and commissioning as required in line with British Standards BS8558.

For six of these stations, TFWRL has already purchased the water refill units from the manufacturer and will provide these to the Contractor for incorporation into the works.

The Contractor shall install the new water, drainage, electrical connection, along with fitting and final connection of the TFWRL purchased units.

The remaining seven stations will be installed by Sipple hydration, who are providing an alternative water refill unit. The Contractor shall design and install the new water, drainage and electrical connections enabling works including the testing and only. The fitting and final connection to the units will be undertaken by Sipple.
