Abstract

Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council is seeking expressions of interest from reputable and experience software suppliers for the provision of a comprehensive cloud based asset management system. Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council require a new asset management software system, which will contribute towards the efficiency of the Council. It is necessary to procure a reliable, fully integrated system, which will provide central, comprehensive and accurate information to enable effective management of Council assets. The Corporate Asset Management system will also have an integral role in the preparation of the Council’s accounts. It is intended to upgrade/replace its existing Asset Management System with a requirement to enhance all aspects of property management by enabling all data to be held at a single point to ensure accuracy, more efficient accessing and in-house reporting. The system should be web based to provide remote access for all users and consultants. The system should include: Core Property function Finance/Capital Accounting/fixed asset register Estates/Terrier management Property Condition Survey Asbestos/Legionella/Hazard function Reactive Maintenance and Ordering function Planned Maintenance Suitability/Sufficiency Energy Disability Access Interested parties will form an initial early market engagement exercise whereby the Council will request a product demo and technical specification for consideration in our development of the procurement project. It is expected that system demo's will be requested over the coming two months with the procurement process to follow once the full specification has been developed.
