Description of the goods or services required
Ruthin Town Council are seeking a self-motivated project co-ordinator to assist the
Council in implementing their Parc Clwyd project in Ruthin, circa value £155,000 ex vat
on a short term fixed contract consultancy of approximately 16 weeks. The project will provide external
amenity space infrastructure to include 2 canopies, outdoor exercise equipment, bike racks, seating,
planters and external way-finding and interpretation signage.

Parc Clwyd project in Ruthin, circa value £155,000 ex vat
on a short term fixed contract consultancy of approximately 16 weeks. The project will provide external
amenity space infrastructure to include 2 canopies, outdoor exercise equipment, bike racks, seating,
planters and external way-finding and interpretation signage.
The budget for the role as Project Co-ordinator is up to a maximum of £6,500 - dependent on skills and
experience. It is anticipated that the role will involve an average of 8 hours per week for 16 weeks.
Applications must include a confirmed total amount of hours the person is able to spend on the project,
and hourly rate within the budget allocated and taking into account travel, mileage and subsistence.
(applicants should have flexibility for possible additional 4 weeks dependent on programme). Please
make it clear if VAT would be applicable or not. Payments would be made monthly based on invoice
starting a month after the commencement of the role as Project Co-ordinator.

3 Conditions for Participation
|
3.1

Minimum standards and qualification required
Experience in project co-ordination / management with a construction/ external works background is
desirable and to be able to liaise confidently with stakeholders across the project, including contractors,
suppliers, local authority, Town Council and community stakeholders. The ability to speak/communicate
in Welsh (including those new to the language) is beneficial..
Skills required include

• Time management and organisational skills
• Conflict resolution
• A strong attention to detail
• Oral and written communication skills
• Hold a Prince II certificate or similar qualification, or have a proven track record and experience in
delivering and administering projects of this nature.
