The Trust has recently awarded a contract for the provision of supply of High Secure Vapes and Liquid Pods and to support patients in a secure mental health setting as a stop smoking aid. This is an end to end contract, with the contract also including provision of waste recycling bins for disposal of these items in line with WEEE rules in accordance with LiFePO4 batteries.These vapes have been designed specifically for use in High Secure Mental Health environments and meet the required UK regulations for use in the NHS including MHRA and NICE Regulations.

We have undertaken testing of various high secure vapes from various providers to be used in the secure environment setting and these vapes conform to the requirements of the Trust, whilst adhering to patient safety.
