Powys Teaching Health Board is seeking a provider for Mental Health Wellness and Recovery Support Services in Radnorshire, with a focus on person-centred mental health care.
The overarching aim is to empower individuals experiencing mental distress by reinforcing their strengths, promoting self-awareness, and supporting recovery through accessible, community-based services.
The provider is expected to deliver drop-in and outreach services that align with the principles of wellness, recovery, and learning. These services should help individuals understand themselves better, develop coping tools, and pursue meaningful goals. The approach is holistic, aiming to foster personal growth, community participation, and reduce stigma.
Key service standards include enabling self-care, promoting peer support, facilitating group learning, and offering choice and control. Staff are encouraged to act as coaches, supporting individuals to find their own solutions and build resilience. The service must also be inclusive, offering tailored support to underrepresented groups and ensuring accessibility through flexible delivery formats, including online and face-to-face options.
Access to services is open and inclusive, with a clear referral pathway from self-referral, primary and secondary care, and community partners. A physical base must be maintained in Llandrindod Wells, and services should operate at least Monday to Friday, with flexibility for out-of-hours support.
