Abstract

Nottingham Trent University (NTU) is a leader in applied research and innovation, with a strong focus on engineering, surgical and industrial automation and robotics. At the Clifton Campus, the School of Science and Technology is advancing interdisciplinary research into robotics, AI and autonomous systems. To support our overall vision, the University’s Humanoid Intelligent Robotics & Integrated Systems Engineering (HI-RISE) Lab within the Engineering department seeks to procure a humanoid robot platform for research and development and equipped with dexterous manipulation capability with tactile sensing. NTU seeks to enhance its robotic capabilities with a state-of-the-art humanoid robotic platform that is optimised for both industrial and healthcare applications. Providing the opportunity for students to work with humanoid robots will also inspire ingenuity and research by enabling students to explore cutting-edge developments in machine learning, trust, autonomous systems, reinforcement learning, and human-centred design with the opportunity to position students at the forefront of the next generation of engineering innovation. Engineering graduates with practical experience of humanoid robotics will be more knowledgeable about emerging technologies and better prepared for future career opportunities as industry is increasingly adopting intelligent robotic systems in areas such as manufacturing, healthcare, logistics, and customer services. For more information about this opportunity, please visit the eSourcing portal at: https://www.delta-esourcing.com/tenders/UK-UK-Nottingham:-Industrial-robots./MX5HE3ZM87To respond to this opportunity, please click here: https://www.delta-esourcing.com/respond/MX5HE3ZM87
