Description of the goods or services required
Cwm Taf University Health Board (CTUHB)intend to obtain a suitable Clerk of Works as soon as possible to provide Clerk of Works services for a Specialist Palliative Care Unit on the Royal Glamorgan Hospital Site. The appointment will be required immediately as confirmation of the project funding has been received from the Welsh Government.
Macmillan and Cwm Taf University Health Board (CTUHB) are providing a new unit at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital to replace the existing Y Bwthyn Palliative Care Unit currently located in Pontypridd. The works will provide:-
•An inpatient unit with 8 single bedrooms , one of the 8 bedrooms will be larger to accommodate bariatric patients.
•A day unit with therapy areas, multi faith room and shared kitchen for patients, relative’s and staff to interact.
•Staff Offices
The unit will be a new building located at the quiet south-eastern corner of the site and appropriately landscaped to provide the privacy and tranquillity conducive to palliative and end of life care provision.

The intension is to obtain a suitable Clerk of Works as soon as possible. The appointment will be required immediately as confirmation of the project funding has been received from the Welsh Government.
The works value is £4.8m ex VAT
