Description of the contract
The project will involve the following:
Excavation for a proposed rock armoured toe.
Construction of rock armoured toe with geotextile, rock and suitable
granular infill.
Contractor design and detailing of bespoke elements of the Reinforced
Precast Concrete Terrace units as per the Contract Drawings.
Installation / lifting in of interlocking Reinforced Precast Concrete
Terraced Units by crane.
Capping and surfacing works to the existing asphaltic concrete
revetment with a Buff coloured suitable grouted Macadam.
Surfacing works to the existing concrete access ramp to the west end of the existing seawall.
Localised breaking out / hydro-demolition works to defective areas of the existing sea wall.
Localised concrete repairs to defective areas of the existing sea wall,including cutting and replacement of all corroded reinforcement as required.
Installation of anodic protection system to sea wall around perimeter of concrete repairs.
Over-coating of the entire surface of the existing sea wall with a polymer modified dry spray applied concrete system which includes a resin fix mesh.
Repairs and repointing works to existing stonework revetment to front of east end of existing sea wall.
Minor repairs and repointing works to stone wall retaining concrete
beach access ramp to front of west end of existing sea wall.
