— support large HANA instances above 4TB.

The procurement falls outside the scope of application of the Directive
Explanation
WWU has invested in SAP S/4 HANA and require hosting of the SAP S/4 HANA in a SAP certified public cloud platform. This platform and its provider must be SAP certified for all of the below criteria:
— have available at least 2 UK based availability zones,
— provide native Clustering for high availability,
— support large HANA instances above 4TB.
In addition to the technical requirements set out above WWU require a mature and SAP certified public cloud platform to operate its’ recent investment in SAP S/4 HANA and meet very high levels of security. Integration with existing Microsoft 365 tool-sets including security, identity and mobility features is critical and WWU require the public cloud provider to support SAP HANA on large instances (above 4TB). WWU require that the public cloud platform must also be suitable for non-SAP workloads to enable management and deployment of other hosting requirements. Microsoft is the only supplier with the technical capability to implement and fulfill the entire technical requirement.
