Abstract

Anglian Water is looking to award a framework agreement (Framework Agreement), to at least 2 bidders for the supply of meters, communication devices, network and data services (data for period 2020 to 2040). The bidder with the highest score will be awarded work under the framework agreement. The next highest scoring bidder will only be allocated work under the framework agreement if the winning bidder framework agreement is terminated as set out in the framework agreement. There is also provision made for work to be award to either of the successful bidders following a mini competition.

Anglian Water believes that the key benefits of this Network Programme are:

— enable Anglian Water to achieve leakage and consumption savings in the order of 52 MLD by 2045 closing our deficits by demand side controls and behavioural change. In turn this would avoid large capital expenditure on supply side projects,

— provide means to enhance the impact of water efficiency measures linked to installing first time meters in an area facing a water deficit in the future,

— establish Anglian Water as the leading exponent of smart metering in the UK,

— identify customer side water losses, and therefore enable customers to reduce their bill.

For further information on the scope of this procurement exercise please see the framework agreement.
