Abstract

Expressions of Interest from Third Sector Providers for Pilot provision of domiciliary care in the Western Vale area of the Vale of Glamorgan. The Vale of Glamorgan Council is seeking to improve access to domiciliary care for people residing in the Western Vale in order to support people within their own homes to live independently. Additionally, the service will help to build community resilience in a rural area. The service seeks to overcome ongoing capacity issues within the Western Vale to provide domiciliary care in a timely manner, which supports hospital discharge, prevents admission to hospital or residential care, and enables people to live within their own homes and community. This project currently has funding until the end of March 2021. To this end, the Council intends to invite relevantly qualified and experienced third sector organisations through the Sell2Wales portal to take part in a procurement exercise. Therefore the Council would like to hear from third sector providers who would be interested in the provision of this pilot service working in partnership with both the Council and Glamorgan Voluntary Service. Please forward your details to ssdtenders@valeofglamorgan.gov.uk with your organisation name, telephone number and the email address on your Sell2Wales portal account. The deadline for receipt of the expressions of interest is: 16th October 2019 by 5:00pm Important notice: Please be aware that at this intitial stage of the project this call for expressions of interest is for third sector providers only.
