Abstract

In 2017 the PCC took a decision to bring our previously outsourced victim support service in house and now holds a contract with Dyfed Powys Police to provide this vital service. The ‘Goleudy’ team are a joint victim and witness service housed within Police headquarters. Their remit has also been extended to provide support to victims of Anti-Social Behaviour and to domestic abuse victims with standard or medium risk according to a Domestic Abuse, Stalking and Harassment (DASH) assessment. The PCC is seeking an independent review of how the service is working, to provide assurance that the best possible service provision is being delivered for victims and to enable the PCC and his team to plan for the future. The below outlines the objectives that we would be seeking to address via a light touch review and site visit to explore the working arrangements and outcomes being delivered by the service.
