Abstract

3.01 Scope of Works a) The Works proposed to be delivered by this Agreement comprise of the management of vegetation along Rail Routes in order to keep the rail infrastructure clear of vegetation in compliance with all relevent procedures and policies and allow the safe operation of passenger and freight trains at line speed with the minimum of delay and disruption, including without limitation: 3.02 Vegetation Works – Maintenance, Clearance and Management of the following in relation to Vegetation including but without limitation: a) Maintenance of lineside vegetation cleared of trees and scrub; b) Maintenance of lineside vegetation cleared of trees and scrub to a vertical line – distance specified on scoping document (inc signal & level crossing sighting and may include rock cuttings and steep cutting slopes and embankments); c) Maintenance of lineside vegetation cleared of trees and scrub in and around infrastructure assets (inc signal sighting); d) Maintenance and /or clearance of vegetation from within track and ballasted areas; e) Maintenance and /or clearance of vegetation from structures; f) Clearance of lineside vegetation; g) Clearance of lineside vegetation to a vertical line - distance specified on scoping document (inc signal & level crossing sighting); h) Clearance of lineside vegetation via pesticide treatments to kill wood stumps to prevent regrowth; i) Clearance of lineside vegetation on the following: i) Rock cuttings; ii) Steep cutting slopes and embankments; and iii) On and around infrastructure assets . j) Clearance and Management of hazardous trees (may be selective felling / clear fell, selective pruning, crown reduction and other methods). k) Control of injurious and invasive weeds: i) Maintenance and Clearance of vegetation outside the Employer’s boundary due to the following but not limited to; ii) R elated outside party requests; and iii) Public complaints. l) Emergency response to signal sighting and other vegetation related incidents; m) Tree and shrub planting, inclusive of aftercare; n) Vegetation survey works; o) Civils Examination Framework Agreement (CEFA) – clearance of vegetation in connection with enabling works; and p) Civils Examination Framework Agreement (CEFA) – clearance of vegetation in advance of earthworks examinations.

3.01 Scope of Works

a) Maintenance of lineside vegetation cleared of trees and scrub;

b) Maintenance of lineside vegetation cleared of trees and scrub to a vertical line – distance specified on scoping document (inc signal & level crossing sighting and may include rock cuttings and steep cutting slopes and embankments);

c) Maintenance of lineside vegetation cleared of trees and scrub in and around infrastructure assets (inc signal sighting);

d) Maintenance and /or clearance of vegetation from within track and ballasted areas;

e) Maintenance and /or clearance of vegetation from structures;
