The works, supplies or services can be provided only by a particular economic operator for the following reason: absence of competition for technical reasons
Explanation
The Belfast Health and Social Care Trust has received written confirmation by way of a letter of 10.9.2019 from AB Sciex (operating as Sciex) that ‘Sciex (trading as AB Sciex UK Ltd), Under the terms of Tender itt_19289, were appointed to be sole supplier of the system which is now subject to contract renewal — namely the Sciex QTrap 4500, Shimadzu HPLC and Peak Gas Generator. This letter also confirms that the Sciex are the only service provider in Northern Ireland who have OEM certified engineers for all individual elements of the system named above, and therefore are the only provider who is adequately qualified to maintain the system as the single holistic entity for the original purpose it was provided. Sciex can provide such certification for the Service Specialists involved, as required by the Trust.’
