Support and maintenance of the Mercator Cartographic Production System (MCPS). The initial period shall be 3 years with options to extend in six monthly options up to a total contract duration of 5 years.The contract will cover all software elements and licencing that comprise the 1Spatial elements of the MCPS. This includes software to support product finishing, developed applications and databases that are currently installed.

The works, supplies or services can be provided only by a particular economic operator for the following reason: absence of competition for technical reasons
Explanation
UK Strategic Command, part of the UK Ministry of Defence considers that this contract can be placed using the negotiated procedure without prior publication pursuant to Article 32(2)(b)(iii) of Directive 2014/24/EU (Regulation 32(2)(b)(iii) of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015. This is for reasons that 1Spatial Group Ltd are the only company who can carry out the services relating to their software elements of the Mercator Cartographic Production System on Technical Grounds, with an element of exclusive rights.
