CA:2E is the fourth generation language (4GL) integrated development environment (IDE) used to develop test and run software on the i-series. A license to run this software and associated support is required. CA:2E is designed to simplify application development by incorporating development design models, native code generation and deployment facilities into a single development environment. CA 2E enables staff to create programs without extensive knowledge of technical specifications or programming languages. With the implementation of traditional and newer IBM® i-Series®-supported technologies, it helps your staff address key development trends like component-based architecture and data integration across systems and platforms. The licence and support for CA:2e is required for a IBM Power 8 System Model Number: 8286-41A Serial Number: 786F7EX Single Quad Core Processor 32 GB RAM.

This is a direct award contract justified under Regulation 32 B (iii) due to exclusive rights which will enable CCEA to develop and maintain all examinations processing iSeries programs developed in-house through the use of the Cool 2E software development environment.
