Abstract

BCUHB are seeking to commission an online educational clinical skill resource for healthcare professionals to maintain their knowledge, skills and competence with the aim to ensure high quality evidence based care. Covid has resulted in different ways of working, greater use of technology and many staff returning to clinical practice, or working in clinical areas that they would not normally work in. Back to the floor training has been provided for over 2000 staff therefore, it is important that new or refreshed clinical skills are maintained and enhanced whilst we continue to respond to the challenges of CoVid throughout forthcoming months. The online education resource would support • Staff with the right skills to ensure high quality patient care • Diverse workforce that can respond to the needs of local patients. • Underpinning knowledge and skills to practice safely • Assists in Improves staff morale and patient outcomes • Increases our educational offer to our staff to meet CPD and professional revalidation requirements. • Increases access to education and training due to social distancing requirements. • Reduced need for staff travel for face to face training, can be undertaken at home or workplace. • Additional education resource content to those provided on an All Wales basis in My Learning @ NHS Wales BCUHB require an educational resource that allows staff access in a timely and secure manner, whilst also meeting all data security and information governance guidelines. This solution needs to be accessible via different devices, in an easy to use and clear manner
