Environmental Improvement Municipal Engineering Works On Housing Land

Description of the goods or services required

Wrexham County Borough Council (The Employer) is currently in the process of upgrading their housing stock to comply with the Welsh Housing Quality Standard (WHQS) by December 2020. The Housing and Economy Department are currently working on their External Works Programme, which includes a wide range of works to the gardens within the curtilage of the property and schemes on Housing owned land. In addition to this works, there is an ongoing budget to complete environmental improvements work, which is an ongoing process and continues beyond December 2020.

This Contract is for the following:

On plot parking schemes to council properties and other minor civil engineering schemes required to facilitate the construction of on plot parking bays at properties under the ownership of Wrexham Council’s Housing and Economy Department.

This framework will includes off street car parking and general ‘ad hoc’ civils works. These will all be designed by the Employer and a target cost produced by the Employer, which will be based on the Principal Contractors tendered rates.

Under the terms of this contract the successful supplier(s) will be required to deliver Community Benefits in support of the authority’s economic and social objectives.
