Abstract

Welsh Government is seeking expressions of interest from specialist suppliers to provide support in its delivery of a 5G programme which will deliver a commercial network alongside a series of trial services in Blaenau Gwent and Monmouthshire. Welsh Government is delivering a 5G Rural Connected Communities programme between October 2020 through to end of March 2022 with funding via the DCMS Testbeds & Trials Programme. The programme involves a consortium working together to deliver a series of trial services across a range of sectors. The consortium is a blend of private sector, academia and public sector organisations. The key services required are: (1) Solutions Architecture, (2) Benefits Case modelling, and (3) design and systems integration; Suppliers should have direct commercial experience and expertise in: - Direct design and deployment experience of 4G or 5G networks - Designing, developing and deploying business or consumer services across 4G or 5G networks - Providing solutions architecture services across a multi supplier programme involving sensors, devices, software services and security - Partnering, managing and / or negotiating with mobile network operators - Mobile network operator commercial models And this should be supported by knowledge and experience of: - DCMS grant investment programmes or similar - the fixed and mobile network provision across private and public sector actors in Wales - working with central and / or local government on mobile network solutions Interested parties are invited to submit an expression of interest, highlighting: 1) Name of organisation and brief description of background and relevant experience for the programme described CPV: 79400000, 79410000, 72000000, 72220000, 72590000, 72700000, 32420000, 32400000.
