Description of the goods or services required

The aim of the works is to replace an existing stone headwall and old debris screen with a new concrete headwall and an up to standard galvanised steel debris screen along with the replacement of old concrete pipes and box culvert with a new 900mm carrier drain. This improvement will reduce the risk of flooding to adjacent properties and ensure safer access for the inspector and the contractor commissioned to inspect and clear the new screen of any debris build-up. The work will require:

• Off-site fabrication of new galvanized trash screen

• New pre-cast reinforced concrete headwall

• Existing trash screen to be used as temporary screen during works

• Apply Guidelines on Pollution prevention GPP5 Works and Maintenance in or near water

• Fish rescue if required and create dry working area

• Site clearance of surrounding area

• The felling of 1 tree

• Laying of new 900mm diameter carrier drain including bed and surround

• Reinstatement of verges

• Reinstatement of carriageway

• Outlet concrete headwall

• Re-grade water course bed

• Formwork for new concrete pad

• Cast concrete pad

• Instalment of new trash screen

• New stock proof fence

• Install Kee Klamp railings (or similar) as specified on contract drawing.
