Abstract

The Commissioner's website - www.olderpeoplewales.com - is a key channel through which she provides information and updates to older people and stakeholders, throughout Wales and more widely. The Commissioner wants to develop a new engaging version of her website, reflecting the organisation’s values, which encourages and supports older people and stakeholders to access and engage with a wide range of content, information and resources. The new website must comply with the latest design and accessibility standards and must be available in both English and Welsh languages. We will work collaboratively with the successful contractor, utilising their creativity and expertise to finalise the design and structure of the new website, while also being guided by the views of older people and stakeholders that are currently being captured through a series of engagement sessions. The successful contractor will be responsible for the hosting of the website, as well as providing on-going support and maintenance for the platform for the duration of the contract. The Commissioner is therefore seeking tenders for the development of a new website, and hosting services and ongoing maintenance support for a period of four years, to run from March 2022 to March 2026, with an option to extend the contract for an additional year to March 2027. The contract will be awarded in November 2021 and a period of build, testing and dual running will be required for site launch in March 2022. Information about the Commissioner’s role and work is available from her current website: www.olderpeoplewales.com
