Additional Information
The Welsh Government is proposing to introduce a 20mph speed limit on all ‘restricted roads’ across Wales. In advance of the national roll-out the Welsh Government is working with highway authorities to implement 20mph in eight trial areas (Phase 1 of the 20mph programme).
Objective: To increase footfall in retail and hospitality service areas.
Objective: To improve behaviour associated with vehicle/pedestrian interaction.
The surveys will provide information to support the 20mph programme, both in terms of the actual data outputs and in understanding the suitability of the survey approach for monitoring a future national roll-out.
The contract will be for an initial term of 12 months and locations for surveys will be determined by TfW, locations have been provided within the tender documents, TfW reserves the right to add and or remove locations.
