Abstract

This tender concerns the conservation and repair of the Grade II listed Hepworth’s Arcade. The Council has been successful in its Historic England Project Development Grant to develop a scheme of works to conserve, repair and renovate Hepworth’s Arcade. The ambition of the project is to renovate and repair Hepworth’s Arcade, to ensure the long term future of the Arcade, as well as enabling a high-quality diverse retail offer of independent traders in the Arcade. The Council is seeking to procure a Conservation Accredited multi-disciplinary design team to assist in progressing the plans for the Hepworth’s Arcade. The Council will require the successful bidder to further develop and (subject to funding) subsequently deliver the design scheme for Hepworth’s Arcade, in consultation with Historic England. The appointed consultant will be the Principal Designer for the development stage, and if the funding bid is successful will be retained for the delivery stage.
