Magnox Ltd is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority. <br/>Magnox Ltd is responsible for the safe and secure operation and clean-up of 13 nuclear sites<br/>around the UK on behalf of the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (Dounreay a division of Magnox since April 2023)<br/><br/>Magnox is intending to award Thermo Fisher Scientific Messtechnik a contract for the supply of Thermo Trudose 3.1 Electronic Personal Dosimeters. Thermo Fisher Scientific Messtechnik GmbH are the only supplier who can provide this product.

The works, supplies or services can be provided only by a particular economic operator for the following reason: absence of competition for technical reasons

Explanation:

Magnox use the Thermo Fisher Electronic Dosimetry Systems across all sites including supporting software and hardware and the supply of Thermo Trudose 3.1 Electronic Personal Dosimeters are required in sufficient numbers across the Magnox sites to interact with the Thermo Fisher dosimetry systems to allow daily assessment of workers doses (and to measure and manage workers doses), in line with regulatory requirements and to remain compliant with IRR17.
