Abstract

Procurement of Sport Wales Consultants for the Foundations, Education and Health Areas of Work. We (Sport Wales) are looking to recruit up to 10 consultants to work with identified partners including local authorities, national governing bodies and wider partners to undertake a variety of roles, including (but not limited to): • Facilitating and supporting national/regional discussions, planning and strategic thinking • Supporting the translation of strategy into operation, e.g. the Foundations Framework, Daily Active, health delivery plans • Facilitating the sharing of learning and good practice across a range of partners • Undertaking research and collecting insight to help inform future practices • Producing evaluative reports to inform future practices • Supporting the collaboration work conducted by Sport Wales with external partners • Supporting partners with understanding their offer for children and young people, ensuring it is inclusive • Supporting partners with developmental work around the Curriculum for Wales, specifically the Health and Wellbeing AoLE • Supporting Sport Wales to deliver against range of Welsh Government delivery plans, in supporting mental health and wellbeing • Supporting the growing evidence base, opportunities and application of sport and the role it can play in the preventive health agenda, e.g. through initiatives such Social Prescribing

Procurement of Sport Wales Consultants for the Foundations, Education and Health Areas of Work.

We (Sport Wales) are looking to recruit up to 10 consultants to work with identified partners including local authorities, national governing bodies and wider partners to undertake a variety of roles, including (but not limited to):

• Facilitating and supporting national/regional discussions, planning and strategic thinking

It is important that candidates have a knowledge of:

1. Supporting organisations who work with children and young people in a range of settings including the community, pre-school settings, schools and grassroots sports clubs

2. Developing an inclusive sport system which focuses upon children’s and young people’s needs, as well as creating opportunities which are safe, enjoyable, and developmental

3. Multi-sport experiences which develop children’s confidence, motivation, physical skills, and knowledge and understanding to engage in physical and sporting activities for life
