II.2.4) Description of the procurement
In accordance with the Provider Selection Regime (Regulations 2023) this is an intent to award notice. Following a 2 stage competitive process, the recommendation is to award the contract for Adult Lifestyles Stop Smoking, Weight Management and Healthy Lifestyles Service (Lot 1 and Lot 2) to ABL Health Ltd. As they are the provider that passed the checks conducted under the Basic Selection Criteria and provided the lowest Value per Other Key Criteria point score.
The Council commissions Adult Lifestyle Services (Stop Smoking, Weight Management and Healthy Lifestyles) as part of the service branded as One You Kent (OYK).
The current service provision commenced on 1st April 2020 and is due to expire on 31st March 2026. This relates to the provision of Adult Lifestyle Services commencing from 1st April 2026.
The Services are divided into the following work packages (Lots):
Lot 1 – Adult Lifestyles Stop Smoking Service
Lot 2 – Adult Lifestyles Weight Management and Healthy Lifestyle Service
The total contract value for the full contract should all extensions be enacted is;
Lot 1 - £10,485,533.26
Proposed start and end date; 1/4/2026 – 31/3/2029
There is the potential for a contract extension of 2 x 1 year(s) (24 months), depending on both the success in achieving the required outcomes and the availability of further funding.
