II.2.4) Description of the procurement
Due to the sad passing of the incumbent contract holder, NHS SY ICB are planning to use the Most Suitable Provider process to award a new contract to the remaining partner within the Whitegates Dental Practice. <br/><br/>Continuing to commission the same level of dentistry at Whitegates Dental Practice would enable the provider to maintain and improve access to dental services in Doncaster and retain the same contracted NHS activity within the constituency area and within the dental practice. It will enable continuity of dental access for the regular patients.<br/><br/>The provision of dental services and maintaining patients access to dental services is important in not only improving patients dental health but also relates to other health issues. <br/><br/>This notice is an intention to award a contract under the most suitable provider process.<br/><br/>The value of the contract will be £174,000 per annum. <br/><br/>Please note - There is no end date to this contract as it will be a General Dental Service Contract which is let in perpetuity. Therefore, the lifetime value of the contract can not be provided.<br/><br/>This is an existing service with a new supplier.<br/><br/>The service will start as soon as possible
