The proposed project will deliver a comprehensive refurbishment and enhancement of the existing Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA) located adjacent to Gaer Community Centre. The project will transform an ageing facility into a modern, high-quality community sports venue that will provide increased opportunities for sport and physical activity for local residents of all ages.

The existing MUGA has reached the end of its useful life and requires significant investment to address surface deterioration, improve accessibility, enhance user experience, and ensure the facility meets current standards for community sport and physical activity. The proposed improvements will create a safe, inclusive, and attractive environment capable of supporting a range of activities including football, basketball, netball, informal recreation, school use, organised community programmes, and health and wellbeing initiatives.
