Justification for selected award procedure:
New works/services, constituting a repetition of existing works/services and ordered in accordance with the strict conditions stated in the Directive
Explanation
This contract is being awarded under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023 using Direct Award Process C. The current contract has been assessed by East Sussex Healthcare Trust and the incumbent provider, St Michaels Hospice, against the Provider Selection Regime key criteria and basic selection criteria. The Trust has concluded that the provider is delivering the existing service to a satisfactory standard and is likely to continue to satisfy the requirements of the proposed contract. The proposed contractual arrangements are not changing from the existing contract and the service model will remain unchanged. The provider has demonstrated effective, continued integration with Trust services and partner organisations. Accordingly, the Trust is satisfied that the conditions for Direct Award Process C are met and that the award is lawful under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023
