New works/services, constituting a repetition of existing works/services and ordered in accordance with the strict conditions stated in the Directive
Explanation
The contract was awarded directly to Softcat to ensure continuity of the Council's existing Wi-Fi services and infrastructure. Softcat's existing knowledge of the systems and requirements allows for a consistent approach, minimising disruption and avoiding unnecessary additional implementation and transition costs. The award was considered to represent value for money through the continued use of the existing arrangements.
