Description of the goods or services required

We require expressions of interest ONLY from companies able to meet ALL of the following criteria:

• Dedicated 24 hour internet/telephone call out scheme.

• Provide dedicated leadership during an emergency with suitably qualified personnel.

• Have a established and compliant core of fully trained mines rescue personnel.

• Have a core of full time mines rescue instructors on hand.

• Have sufficient back up teams available in an emergency.

• Have ample supplies of Drager BG4 breathing apparatus, resuscitators, stretchers etc.

• Have dedicated equipment maintenance personnel, rescue instructors, first aid and training instructors.

• Have the ability to get a fully equipped mines rescue team to Big Pit within 1 hour of an incident being notified.

• Have sufficient instructors available to train/mentor the Big Pit rescue team in live practise sessions.

• Be accredited with MPQC to carry out NVQ Level 2 Mines Rescue Brigades man qualification.
