Description of the goods or services required
Ynni Teg Cyf is running this tender on behalf of Amelia Methodist Trust Company Limited (Amelia Trust Farm), a Welsh charity running a working farm and community site at Five Mile Lane, Walterston, Barry CF62 3AS.
The Trust is looking for a single contractor to design, supply, install and commission rooftop solar PV of about 75 kWp across the Sports Hall, Workshop, Llangennith House and Beaver Information Centre; battery storage co-located with each array, about 161 kWh in total; air-to-air heat pumps at the Sports Hall, including hot water for the showers, and at the Beaver Information Centre; and a 12 kW electric boiler at Llangennith House. The works also include removal of the redundant oil boilers and tanks, export limitation, metering and monitoring, DNO commissioning forms and witness testing, and a bilingual funding plaque.
The grid connection is 66 kW with G100 export limitation. Ynni Teg makes the G99/G100 application to NGED for the Trust.
The works are funded by a Welsh Government capital grant through the Ynni Cymru Capital Grant Programme. Award is conditional on the Grant Award Letter. This is a two-stage appointment: Stage 1 is design, and Stage 2 (supply and installation) goes ahead once the Trust issues a written notice to proceed. The grant deadline of 31 March 2027 is fixed, and practical completion is needed by 12 March 2027.
MCS certification is required for each technology, held by the tenderer or by a named subcontractor. Joint bids and specialist subcontractors are welcome. Local suppliers and SMEs are encouraged to bid.
Supervised site visits are available from 2 to 11 November 2026 by appointment. Clarification questions must be received by 12:00 on 12 November 2026. Tenders must be submitted by email to sam@ynniteg.cymru by 12:00 noon on Friday 20 November 2026. The full tender pack is attached to this notice.
