II.5)	Short description Deeside College is looking to appoint a contractor by October 2011 to provide the service to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of the Skills for the Workforce European funded project. The Skills for the Workforce is an initiative provided by the college to up-skill the needs of individuals and SMEs in North East Wales. The project helps to embed a culture of employees development and lifelong learning and in addition, it helps improve the perspective of employers by helping them to see the importance of training and the positive effect it can have on their business. The timescales for the evaluation are as follows: • Interim report to client by April 2012 • Final report to client by December 2013 The evaluation of the Skills for the Workforce project will identify the positive impact on employers of the project and the lasting benefits not only of training employees but of educating employers on the importance of training and the effect it has on their business
