Description:

TENDER FOR PROCUMREMENT OF CONSULTANT BY NATIONAL LIBRARY OF WALES

DPEND: DIGITAL PRESERVATION FROM EVERY NETWORKED DEVICE

The National Library of Wales (NLW), supported by the Archives and Records Council Wales (ARCW), wish to procure the services of a consultant to support the development of a Conservation Centre, based in the NLW, which will provide a national focus to enable the preservation of analogue and digital material. The national preservation of Welsh digital material is dependent upon the ability of organisations, and individuals, to accessible technical infrastructure, supported by a storage system. The ARCW and NLW proposal is to enable “digital preservation from every networked device (DPEND).” The aim is to make digital preservation as easy as possible for a wide range of organisations.

With regard to the Library’s current regulations this PQQ will be placed on the BRAVO system of electronic tender. If you are not registered please go to the web site given below and follow the instructions; there is a free helpline number given on this site should you experience problems.
