II.1.6) | Description/object of the contractTidal Energy Limited is an innovative renewable energy company with a vision to generate clean, economical and sustainable tidal stream power with ease and efficiency. It was set up in Wales by a team of marine engineering and renewable energy experts. The aim of this evaluation is to assess the performance of the Deltastream 2 project, funded by the West Wales and the Valleys Convergence Programme (2007-13). DeltaStream is an innovative technology designed to generate electrical power from tidal stream resources. Stage 2 of the project (WEFO Case ID 80626) is to understand how the DeltaStream device performs once in-situ and to interpret this performance to understand the potential for progression to commercial and environmental viability. The purpose of the evaluation is to assess the overall performance of the project in delivering its stated aims, objectives and targets. The evaluation will be undertaken in two parts: • An initial process assessment of the delivery of the project up to and including the deployment of the device (interim evaluation) • A summative evaluation of the overall performance of the project (final evaluation) To obtain a copy of the Invitation to Tender suppliers are required to request the document from Tidal Energy Limited at the contact details outlined in Section 1 of this Notice. |
