Abstract

This speculative notice is to test the market to establish what organisations are in the market with the appropriate resources, expertise and experience to utilise the assets (detailed below) to deliver the following outcomes:- 1. Protect and Preserve the Culture and Heritage of the Island 2. Establish a sustainable business model 3. Increase the number of visitors to Anglesey 4. Provide additional and wider economic and social benefits if possible. These assets include: Oriel Ynys Môn near Llangefni, the Gaol and Court House in Beaumaris and Melin Llynnon near Llanddeusant. To achieve these outcomes the local authority is open to considering a number of delivery models to utilise the facilities for their current usage but also to utilising the Gaol and Courthouse and Llynnon for alternative/additional purposes while also protecting/preserving the special character and appearance of the assets and any architectural and historic feature deemed to be of importance to these assets (due to their listed status). NB:- However it must be made clear that at this time these assets are not available, no decision has been made on the future of these assets (which may remain in house). This exercise will be used purely as an informative tool to aid the local authority in evaluating transformation options which includes the possible outsourcing/leasing of these assets. More information can be found in the documents available on the documents tab. To express your interest in this opportunity you will need to fill in the relevant information at the bottom of the document ‘Expression of Interest’ in the documents tab and send it electronically to procurement@anglesey.gov.uk by 4p.m on the 16th of October 2015. If you have any questions or want to seek clarification please do so via the Q&A function.
