Abstract

DESCRIPTION OF SCOPE The SEACAMS2 project led by the Centre for Applied Marine Sciences (CAMS) at Bangor University wishes to appoint an appropriately authorized and suitably qualified company to conduct a range of fixed wing and multirotor aerial/mapping surveys at coastal locations in Wales to be specified by project demand. In the first instance this will be up to Autumn 2017 but potentially via future extension (subject to funding) through to Spring 2019. It is anticipated that the work will commence during Autumn 2016 with the intention of undertaking a number of seasonal repeat surveys at pre-determined locations together with the potential for occasional surveys required in response to project demand at locations potentially anywhere in Wales. The successful company must be fully CAA certified and insured for undertaking surveys of this type and have the ability to subsequently process the data to produce high-resolution (sub 0.1m), appropriately geo-referenced outputs (point cloud mesh data, digitized maps, analytical models, animations, fly-though visualizations etc). The company must also be able to undertake surveys at relatively short notice (1-2 days) where necessary due to project demand and when appropriate tidal and weather conditions dictate. The work will be conducted as part of a series of collaborative R&D projects with commercial partners operating in the Marine Renewable Energy Sector.
